Documentary on Casa Brasil brings together big names in the national design

Big names in the Brazilian architecture and design were brought together to talk about one of the most important design and trade fairs in Latin America. The result is a documentary that tells the history of Casa Brasil, an event held in Bento Gonçalves since 2007.   In addition to the curator of the exhibition, Maria Helena Estrada, architect Marcelo Rosenbaum and designer Fred Gelli talk about the importance of Casa Brasil for the development and consolidation of the national and international design. Fred, who was in charge of designing the logo of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, is well known at Casa Brasil. Marcelo Rosenbaum, who became known to the general public for his participation in Caldeirão do Hulk TV program – “Home Sweet Home” on Rede Globo, gave a lecture in the 2009 edition. The documentary includes the participation of architects Tina and Lui, who are also curators of the show.   The 4th edition of Casa Brasil will be held from August 13 – 16, in Bento Gonçalves. In 2011 the show attracted more than 20,000 visitors to Serra Gaúcha and generated approximately R$ 200 million in business. With 75% of the exhibit spaces already sold, in 2013 the fair is expected to feature 150 exhibitors and generate the same amount of business as in the last edition.   The video is available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOM-hZAGDWU&feature=youtu.be
