Movelsul and Fimma announce the date of their next show

After joint events, trade fairs of the woodworking industry will be held separately in 2025

Held together in 2022 and 2023 as a strategy to optimize the calendar of events for the woodworking industry, Movelsul Brasil and Fimma Brasil will once again be held separately in 2025, traditionally at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves (RS). To make this decision, the organizers of the fairs – Sindmóveis and Movergs, respectively – considered criteria such as the relevance of the fairs in the current market scenario, the sector demands and the opportunity to expand both events.

The kick-off will be led by Movelsul Brasil, scheduled for February 17 to 20, 2025. Gisele Dalla Costa, the president of the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), explains that the main objective will be to increase the diversity of exhibitors and segments. “Movelsul is a benchmark in Latin America for shopkeepers, retailers and importers, especially of mass-produced furniture, upholstery and mattresses. We want to offer an even more comprehensive event for generating business, reinforcing the presence of traditional brands and bringing in new exhibitors,” she states. “The fair will continue its renowned projects, such as the Salão Design Award show, lectures and international business meetings,” says Gisele.

From August 4 to 7, 2025, it will be Fimma Brasil‘s turn to be held in the pavilions of Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves. According to Euclides Longhi, the president of the Furniture Industry Association of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Movergs), this will be an opportunity to resume the fair’s growth. “Although Fimma brings together the main woodworking industry suppliers, we believe it’s possible to expand the presence of exhibitors of machinery, raw materials, tools, hardware, technology and various other segments that make up the sector. Everything at the fair is designed to offer opportunities for innovation, knowledge, competitiveness, good contacts and, of course, great business,” he says. The Innovation Ecosystem space at Fimma Brasil and the presence of importers from target countries continue to be pillars of the event.

BUSINESS WITH DIFFERENT ACCENTS

Business opportunities in the international market are a key feature of Fimma Brasil and Movelsul Brasil trade fairs – and in 2025, it will be no different. The Brazilian woodworking industry has great export potential to every continent on the planet and Fimma and Movelsul are aligned with the main international events in the sector. For this reason, the organizers are already studying the target markets to bring in strategic importers according to the profile of the exhibitors at each fair.
