Held since 1977 by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), Movelsul Brasil has established itself as Latin America’s leading furniture fair in terms of area, number of exhibitors and visitors. Focused on business, the event brings together the most important furniture, mattress, upholstery and décor manufacturers in the country – attracting professionals such as shopkeepers, retailers, importers and specifiers from the furniture industry. The furniture industry is now counting down to Movelsul Brasil 2025, which will take place from February 17 to 20 at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves (RS).
After two joint editions with Fimma Brasil, a trade fair organized by Movergs, Movelsul Brasil will once again be held separately. According to the president of Sindmóveis, Gisele Dalla Costa, the change will allow both events to grow. “We understand that the market is currently valuing in-person trade shows. We’ve also carried out surveys with exhibitors and visitors, indicating that they prefer Movelsul to be held on its own and in the first quarter, as it’s a better period for introducing new products and doing business,” she explains.
The planning process has already begun for Movelsul Brasil 2025, which is expected to become an even more comprehensive event, enhancing the presence of traditional brands and bringing in new exhibitors. “The market can expect a fair featuring new solutions and projects aimed at both commercial partnerships and knowledge exchanges, thus distinguishing Movelsul from other events,” says Gisele.
The promotion of exports and the focus on furniture design will remain strong in the next edition. To this end, international business meetings will be held with importers from target markets for the furniture sector, in addition to the traditional Salão Design Award – the most prestigious award in the segment, held by Sindmóveis since 1988.
