Sindmóveis takes part in iSaloni featuring the Brazilian design export project

Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves will have two 50-square meter booths during the next Salone Internazionale del Mobile (iSaloni) in Milan, Italy from April 12-17. This is the first participation of the association in the fair supported by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil)  through the Raiz Project, which is part of Orchestra Brasil, a project that promotes the export of Brazilian designer’s services. More than 300,000 professional visitors from 160 countries are expected to attend iSalone, the most important high-end furniture fair in the world. The Raiz Project exhibit area, located in pavilion 12, will showcase products designed by nine studios: Bruno Faucz, estudiobola, Guto Indio da Costa, Jader Almeida, Juliana Llussá, Marta Manente, Paulo Alves, Ronald Scliar Sasson and Sérgio Fahrer. The Raiz Project will also have a relationship area at Brazil S/A show, where DW! São Paulo Design Weekend and High Design – Home &Office Expo will promote its fair showcasing trends, innovation and launches of  high-end furniture and will be the anchor for the Brazilian festival in August, 2016. For the first time the Raiz Project is focusing the marketing campaign of Brazilian events during the fair in Milan. The newsletter containing the action plan is available in the Revista Interni guide. Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves has invested in design as a competitive advantage for the Brazilian furniture industry since 1988, when the Salão Design Award was established. During the 20 award competitions held to this date, Salão Design – the major product design award in Latin America – has received 12,588 entries. In 2007, Sindmóveis set up Casa Brasil, a high-end furniture show that as of this year will be held in São Paulo under a new name: High Design – Home &Office Expo. The action plan of the Raiz Project to promote the Brazilian furniture designers in the international market is aimed at the United States and includes a market research consultancy. This year, the project will take part in Maison&Objet Miami (May 10-13) and in ICFF New York (May 14-17).
