The Orchestra Brasil Project exhibits in Mexico

Orchestra Brasil, a project that encourages exports organized by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), will take six companies that supply the furniture industry to Expo Nacional Ferretera in Guadalajara, Mexico. This is the third participation in the Mexican fair that is expected to receive more than 80,000 visitors from September 10-12. Bringing together companies from the metal working, electrical and construction industry, Expo Ferretera is expected to create more than 900 contacts and $ 775,000 in exports for companies exhibiting in the collective booth of the project: Araupel, Artecola, Durotec, Jimo, Promob and Rometal. The participation in the fair ends a prospective mission to Mexico, which takes place from September 7-9, featuring a market study on the country and a technical agenda of meetings with Mexican furniture manufacturers, representatives of the retail sector, distributors and importers. Mexico is one of the most relevant markets for the Orchestra Brasil Project. It has the second largest economy and population in Latin America and its furniture production in 2014 amounted to $ 6.8 billion, ranking second among the most representative in the bloc. The country is among the top 10 importers of products made by the member companies of the Orchestra Brasil Project, having grown its imports by 23% last year compared to 2013. The Orchestra Brasil Project has been carried out since 2006 promoting the competitive inclusion of suppliers to the woodworking sector in the international market. To achieve this goal it promotes market research, missions to prospect markets, individual actions, Buyer’s Projects, Seller’s Projects and Image projects, in addition to taking part in major world trade fairs. Currently, Orchestra Brasil comprises 74 manufacturers of supplies, accessories, raw materials, components and technologies for the furniture industry.
