Sindmóveis: website created to sell products of the Cantina Benta Project

Cantina Benta, a project launched at Casa Brasil 2013 aiming to encourage the revitalization of craft techniques including embroidery, crochet, macramé, painting, biscuit and basketry, now has a website for the exhibition and sale of products. Using materials like fabrics, cold porcelain, corn husk and other natural fibers, the craftsmen from Bento Gonçalves created a product line related to the enogastronomy that were previously sold through orders and at exhibition in local events. With the guidance of architects Tina and Lui and designer Renato Imbroisi,  typical Italian craft skills were combined with contemporary design. This results in straw chickens and chicks, mandalas, bags, vases, bowls, curtains, light fixtures, towel racks, trays, coasters, aprons,  stool covers, set of boxes, napkins, pot holders, tablecloths, magnets and pillows.            In addition to information about Cantina Benta and news related to the topic, the project website will have a space for the sale of products. The initiative is developed by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves – Sindmóveis and the Municipal Tourism Department of the city, in partnership with Emater.
