Sindmóveis and Movergs donate a car to the Military Police

  The Furniture Industry Association of RS (Movergs) and the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) made official on Friday morning, October 5, the donation of a brand new car to the Military Brigade in Bento Gonçalves, through the Consepro Foundation in Support for Public Safety.    The event was attended by the commander of the 1st Platoom of the 3rd Battalion of Tourist Areas of the Military Brigade, captain Reni Zdruikoski; the president of Consepro, Geraldo Leite; the president and the vice-president of Sindmóveis, , Cátia Scarton and Henrique Tecchio; the president of Fimma Brasil, Cacildo Tarso; the Industrial Director, Volmir Dias; and the Marketing Director, Paulo César Franzoni.   The president of Sindmóveis, Cátia Scarton, reinforces the idea of a partnership between the furniture sector, which represents more than 50% of the local GDP, and the public security. “By investing resources in this kind of contribution, we believe we are contributing to the safety of the fairs, to the welfare of the community and consequently to the sustainable development of the sector,” she says.    Cacildo Tarso, president of Fimma Brasil, associates the donation with the practical exercise of social responsibility that the most developed sectors of the city must have. “We need to foster effective partnerships in all sectors of society. Thanks to the public safety services in Bento Gonçalves, the city is prepared to attract tourists and important events like the International Fair of Machines, Raw Materials and Accessories for the Furniture Industry,” says Tarso.    Both associations contributed to the amount of R$ 28,000 for the purchase of the vehicle as a way to support the activities of the Military Brigade and to recognize the services provided during Casa Brasil, FIMMA Brasil and Movelsul trade shows. In return, the corporation will be in charge of keeping special police operations during the events promoted by Sindmóveis and Movergs. The vehicle will need to be adapted before it is used by the Military Brigade to patrol the city. The installation of the equipment and logo on the car will be completed within 90 days.
