Salão Design receives products for the final phase of the competition

The Movelsul and Salão Design

Until February 7, Sindmóveis will be receiving the products qualified for the final phase the Salão Design Movelsul Brasil 2014. Ninety-three competitors are expected to come from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Italy and Uruguay, selected among 585 entries evaluated  in the first phase.

The judging panel will get together from February 17-19 to choose the winners, who will be announced on February 24. The group consists of five architecture and design professionals: architect Ilse Lang from Rio Grande do Sul; architect Isabela Vecci from Minas Gerais, designer and museographer Ivens Fontoura from Paraná, designer Peter Moog from Rio de Janeiro, and designer Peter Marigold from London.

Organized together with Movelsul 2014, Salão Design encourages the creation of products that democratize design in the Student, Professional and Industry classes in seven categories: Furniture for Bedrooms, Furniture for Dining and Living Rooms, Furniture for Kitchens, Laundry Rooms and Bathrooms, Outdoor Furniture, and Home-Office and Office Furniture (including furniture for commercial and public areas), Home Utensils, and Lighting. 

Encouraging the use of sustainable raw materials, the Hall Design offers again Woods Award Alternatives to the project that best contemplate environmental issues. All products shipped to the second stage and meet the conditions of the Regulation participate in the show hall Design for Movelsul Brazil 2014 between 24 and 28 March, in Bento Gonçalves.
