The Orchestra Brasil Project will bring importers to the World Cup final

Taking part in an initiative promoted by Apex-Brasil, the project member companies will have business meetings with importers, who will attend the final match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™     The FIFA World Cup 2014™ has been the scenario of thrills and great deals. Attracted by the chance to watch the matches of the World Cup, more than 2,300 foreign buyers, investors and trendsetters are arriving in Brazil invited by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The project is developed in partnership with more than 700 companies and sector-based associations including Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves, which will bring three importers for business meetings with companies participating in the Orchestra Brasil Project. This initiative on marketing relationship by Apex-Brasil aims to stimulate Brazilian exports and attract foreign investment, in addition to enhancing the commercial image of Brazil in the international market. The business program organized by the Orchestra Brasil Project includes visits of importers to companies located in Bento Gonçalves and São Paulo, ending at the hospitality space of Apex-Brasil at Maracanã on July 13, to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ final match. Three leading distributors of accessories, components and raw materials for the furniture industry were invited from Canada, Colombia and Peru. A total of 15 member companies of the project signed up for the event. The president of Sindmóveis, Henrique Tecchio, points out that Brazilian companies would hardly have means for attracting these major players in the international market to Brazil. “Joining the Orchestra Brasil Project  is free and the suppliers of inputs and design for the furniture sector benefit not only from these specific initiatives, but also from information and market research, several initiatives focusing trade promotion in target markets and a special network of  contacts,” points out Tecchio. In 2013, during the FIFA Confederations Cup, the first part of the Apex-Brasil project generated U$ 3 billion in exports and investments attracted to the country. Now, guests from 104 countries will have over 800 business meetings scheduled with representatives of sectors such as Technology and Health; Home and Construction; Food, Beverage & Agribusiness; Fashion; Machinery and Equipment; Creative Economy; and Services.
