The Orchestra Brasil Project organizes business meetings in Colombia

From July 14 to 17, Orchestra Brasil, a project to encourage exports organized by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) in partnership with the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) promotes a special Seller’s Project in Colombia. Eight Brazilian manufacturers of materials and technologies for the furniture industry will participate in business meetings with Colombian furniture companies, distributors and buyers. The Seller’s Project also includes a series of panels on trade relations between Brazil and Colombia and operational aspects of the export procedures to that country. Colombia is the third largest economy in South America, behind Brazil and Argentina. Regarding economic growth, it had rates above 4% a year between 2010 and 2014. In 2015, it is estimated to total 3.4%. It also has the second highest value in furniture production in South America, amounting to US$ 3.16 billion in 2014, growth of 8.4% when compared to 2013. Companies taking part in the Seller’s Project include Araupel, Jimo, Metalsinos, Promob, Renner, Reval Serras, Tecbril and Tramontina.
