Movelsul Brasil launches its marketing campaign linked to the attributes of Serra Gaucha

A little less than a year for Movelsul Brasil 2020

The largest furniture fair in Latin America for shopkeepers and importers, Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves takes advantage of the high number of furniture manufacturers visiting Fimma Brasil to launch its communication campaign for the event, which will be held from March 16 to 19, 2020. The idea is to continue the campaign begun in the last show, valuing the local tourist attributes that make Movelsul Brasil a unique fair in its segment. The launching ceremony, held on Wednesday – March 27, was the kick off for the action plan to attract national and foreign visitors. In relation to exhibitors, Movelsul Brasil has already sold 60% of its exhibit space.
The president of Sindmóveis and Movelsul Brasil, Vinicius Benini, highlights the relevance of Fimma Brasil for the innovation process of the furniture industry, making it the ideal occasion for the launch of Movelsul Brasil that takes place the following year. In its institutional booth at Fimma Brasil, the staff of the fair is meeting with furniture manufacturers that show potential to participate in Movelsul Brasil to show them the participation conditions and formats.

Several initiatives to boost the generation of business at Movelsul Brasil are already underway one year before the fair, including the attraction of shopkeepers from the e-commerce segment and corporate furniture; the planning of the Buyers Project, the diversification of the mix of exhibitors and the encouragement to launch new lines during the fair through the Retail Project.
In addition, the president announced the first preparatory event for the exhibitors of Movelsul Brasil 2020: a forum for training furniture manufacturers for e-commerce, on May 23, bringing together to Bento Gonçalves specialists in retail and online operations to point out difficulties and opportunities to the furniture industry.

According to President Vinicius Benini, when Sindmóveis strengthens Movelsul brand and its projects, it is strengthening the national furniture industry and, consequently, the companies based in Bento Gonçalves – besides the city as a whole, the local economy and tourism. “We are proud to launch a campaign that enhances our tourist destination and the unique opportunity that we offer to unite business and leisure. This is a moment when companies located in Bento Gonçalves need to join forces with Movelsul Brasil and show why our furniture manufacturing center is considered the largest in the country,” says Vinicius Benini.

The furniture terroir enhanced by the campaign is translated by the motto “Design is in our nature, which will permeate the visual identity of the fair and its advertising campaign. Its concept defends that design is in the core of the furniture industry located in Bento Gonçalves, and that this is an innovative, collaborative environment where beauty is part of people’s daily life and where the need to do more with less was the foundation of the Italian colonization economy. “All this is design: beauty, collaboration, innovation and economy. The communication campaign, developed by República das Ideias agency, combines the singularity of the furniture industry of Bento Gonçalves and its tourist, gastronomic and bucolic environment. The communications director points out that teamwork, wine, furniture, natural beauty and design are in our nature. “Any city can hold a trade show, but no other place in Brazil have these surroundings, its natural beauties and its people.

The History Movelsul Brasil

Along its history, Movelsul Brasil has featured more than 1,700 exhibiting companies. The first show took place in 1977, the year when the furniture industry became the major economic activity in Bento Gonçalves.  The fair is held every two years, exhibiting products for offices, kitchens, bedrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, gardens, living and dining rooms in addition to household appliances, rugs, upholstery and mattresses. In addition to qualified Brazilian retailers, Movelsul Brasil has a strong international position in the target markets of the Brazilian furniture industry. In 2020, Movelsul Brasil will be held from March 16 to 19, at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves.
