Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves ensures good business and qualified visitors for Movelsul Brasil 2020. Fourteen months to go before the next show, the board announced firsthand that 300 national shopkeepers and 100 importers will be invited with expenses paid by the event and selected from target markets of the exhibiting companies. Up to this date, the fair has already sold 47% of its exhibit area. The president of Sindmóveis, Edson Pelicioli, ends his term managing the promoter of Movelsul Brasil later this year, outlining this and other initiatives to attract visitors to the next show.
He highlights the relevance of the fair to the development of the national furniture industry, strengthening trade relations between the industry and its customers and boosting exports. “It is a great fair with 42 years of tradition and it continues to anticipate the demands of the industry, working as a channel to communicate to the market its investments in innovation, technologies and productivity,” he says. The choice of shopkeepers and importers to be invited will be made in the coming months together with the exhibitors.

Held since 1977 by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves, Movelsul Brasil takes place every two years, in the main Brazilian furniture-manufacturing center in terms of number of pieces produced (IEMI, 2018). The next Movelsul will be held from March 16 to 19, 2020, expecting to feature 200 exhibitors, that is, manufacturers of furniture for offices, kitchens, bedrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, gardens, dining and living rooms, in addition to rugs, upholstery and mattresses.
