Movelsul Brasil 2014 launches an international promotional campaign

More than a year to go to before Movelsul, the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) launched the promotional campaign of the next edition of the fair, the largest showcase of the furniture industry in Latin America, held in March 2014. Representatives of the organization will promote the event in February, during ExpoMueble Invierno 2013 in Guadalajara (Mexico).

For a long time Mexico has caught the interest of Brazilian exporters, who seek greater market share in this major Latin American country with the second largest economy and population in the region. Although Brazil has lost share in this country in recent years, the cultural similarity between the two countries, coupled with Mexico’s highly dynamic economy which is expected to have one of the largest growths in American in the coming years – make it an attractive market.

In addition to promoting Movelsul, which in 2012 featured more than 38,100 visitors, generating over US$ 300 million in business,  Sindmóveis will prospect importers from North America to participate in the Buyer’s Project, which will be held during the fair. Importers selected for this project are invited to take part in meetings with Brazilian export companies in order to do business. In 2012 more than 500 meetings were held with 30 importers from 18 countries.
