November saw great news for the furniture industry of Bento Gonçalves.Export rates achieved the best results this year, totaling US$ 6.4 million in business. This number surpasses Octobers figures, the second best month of the year, when exports totaled US$ 6.03 million. Comparing to 2010, exports grew by 0.71% until November. This information seems to be more important when compared to the export variation rates in Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil, which dropped 2.74% and 2.52% respectively during the period. Despite these results, for the first time the state of Rio Grande do Sul outdid Santa Catarina as the main exporter of furniture, according to the data collected until November 2011.
